MyCityCanvas
This assignment challenged our UX and user research skills using industry standard tools and practises like Figma, heuristic evaluations, user profiles, persona creations, and more, my app went through multiple revisions. This was a group assignment and i was able to practise my creative collaboration skills.

MyCityCanvas is an application idea that allows users to pin locations around the city when they find interesting things to do. From these pinned ideas friends can plan and create outings and events. Additionally, the app suggests different locations and events in the user's area based on a recommendation engine. For this idea, I created the design for an app and website.
Desktop
These images show a mockup of the website created with Figma. The main design was meant to be clean and elegant with overall design consistency with the application. The use of whitespace and recognizable elements (google maps with pins) was designed to increase acceptance and familiarity, even for new users.
Phone
To improve the overall application UI design, target demographic participants were listed to provide feedback. The users really liked the app’s idea and theme. This included the icons, colour palette, button shadow details, and so on. Overall, they mentioned it was a bit cluttered. If moving forward with this app, the UI would need to be simplified and decluttered.
